Such a bad update right when Google+ is gaining steam. I hope most of you don't have it yet and that they revert back to the old style before you have to experience it.

facebook sidebar
Has there ever been a worse update to a piece of technology ever? Don't think it's been pushed out to everyone yet so some of you may be wondering wtf I am talking about. It basically makes it so your friends list appears automatically on the right side of the browser. It list them in alphabetical order whether they are online or not, based on how much you interact with them. Oh, and there is no scroll bar, so if you friend is at the bottom of the alphabet you can't get down to them. That and now when you have a chat open, you can't go straight to their profile by clicking their name.

Re: facebook sidebar
Yep, had this happen the other day and am not a fan. However, if you elect to hide it then it will go away and resort back to showing only your friends that are online on the left side of the screen like it used to allowing you to click on that and open a chat box without having to have that sidebar back.
On a side note, they also shrunk their text for some reason. I really hate it when things get changed for the sake of change and really provide no upgrade over what was there previously. -
Re: facebook sidebar
Haven't really been on Facebook in like a couple years..
but remember when they made the change to have the "feed" of everything your friends are doing? And people called it Stalkbook, etc? Now it seems totally normal, LOL. That was a huge change though, and people got used to it/can't live without it now.
Not saying this is like that, just made me think of some of the other changes they made.Comment

Re: facebook sidebar
Yeah it's definitely interesting to look back on old Facebook formats. I've found that older Facebook formats are tied in to my life's memories of that particular time or era. Like when I think back to when it was "The Facebook", I begin getting college flashbacks of very particular moments. It's interesting to see how things have changed. Back then, I feel like we only browsed each other's pages and noticed when interests were altered. I don't even remember albums existing.Haven't really been on Facebook in like a couple years..

Re: facebook sidebar
Yeah, fully agree. This change is useless. I liked seeing who all was on chat, and besides, the list of people I "interact with" the most doesn't even make sense, half the people who show up on there are people I haven't interacted with AT ALL.Comment
