Re: A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas

Only thing I dislike about this is Kal Penn ditched House to go work for Obama. Now that he's no longer doing that, he's going back to acting, and can no longer return as his old character in House. Dag nabbit!

If this gets solid reviews, I'll be seeing it in theaters. I have no interest in seeing the 3D screening though.

I will say the NPH stuff looks classic as usual. It's just the lame 3D and Christmas stuff that turns me off.

I know these aren't the most realistic movies but shooting Santa out of the air and the claymation thing seemed kinda lame to me as well.

I expect this to be another really funny movie in the franchise.

Maybe a year ago it was, but 3D sales have been dropping big time the past few months.

Actually your very wrong 3d Movies are down trending right now. I just watched a video on this yesterday. The movie "makers" are in trouble because more and more people are watching the "regular" version on movies and skippiing the 3d versions. The thing is alot of movies coming out now were make in 3d because it was the "it" thing to do when they started making the movies. Now not so much at all, in fact some smaller thearters are no longer showing 3d versions of movies.

Re: A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas

I dont understand the hate for 3D if its done well. Like Avatar and Despicable Me, those were outstanding amazing 3D.

Now movies that have ****ty 3D like Clash of the Titans etc. should be destroyed immediately.

With soo many movies available now on Netflix, the internet, etc. the only reason i go to the movies now is to see a 3D flick. Otherwise i'll stay home and watch a 2d movie.

I can't wait to see this one.

                            I don't.

I still go see 3D movies if it's worth my time and investment. I like seeing animated movies in 3D because I feel it's a very natural conversion (not the actual process of converting, but I just mean pulling the switch to do 3D), and some films with an **** scale of something make the grand seem grander. I guess it just depends on the film. I don't think Harold & Kumar would be the biggest hit in 3D, but it does seem they're going for the "have crap fly at your face" thing going on, especially with the beer pong scene.

I do think it will die down within the next couple of years, though. It's too expensive to do if there are only diminishing returns, and as somebody else said these movies were filmed during the time that 3D was at its peak. Since Nolan only wants to do IMAX and leave 3D alone, I expect some followers of what will be one of the biggest films in history to perhaps look to do the same.
