I'd go for the one with 6 cores and lower quality video card. Milk the crappier video card for all it's worth then upgrade it.

Even though the X6 is a better overall processor, the 965 is better for gaming which is what you're looking for I assume?

I would email them and ask what company RAM is in there and if these towers are using liquid cooling? You can get a similar spec PC from CyberpowerPC with Corsair RAM and liquid cooling. Sometimes they have great deals for under $1000 that come with the i7 processor.

Build your own .... you will get better parts and probably end up spending less money.

Mostly gaming with a good bit of video editing mixed in.

If you're doing video editing then the X6 is the way to go. I'd eventually upgrade the GPU though.

I'd still keep an eye out if I could get a i7 processor.

                  Build a sandy bridge i5 or i7. I just built a 8GB Sandy Bridge i5 2400 with a HD 6850 and a 1 TB HDD for $550.

The real downer on that X6 system is the mediocre video card. The card is too expensive to be considered a short term budget solution, but not good enough for any serious long term use.

For gaming, the X6 should overclock pretty well, that would make up for most of the X4's advantage there.
