Wow...

R.I.P. He and Valerie Simpson wrote most of the great Marvin/Tammi duets of the '60s. He wasn't a bad singer himself and even had a hit with Simpson in the '80s.

Truly sad loss. Just think about all the hits Ashford & Simpson wrote, not just for Motown, but for themselves and other artists.
