Lou Reed's vocal style kills what could've been a good Metallica album.

      Such a waste of riffage.

I'm not going to have an issue with this music, either. I'm used to Lou Reed's vocals and I know how they sound.

        It's definitely not for everyone.

It's better than I thought it was.

At least, they are allowing you to listen for free before purchasing.

It's out, and I think it's a purchase for me.

I saw Lars on That Metal Show, he said he would hope the Metallica fans would consider this as working outside of the box and when they do that, it helps the future when they are working inside the box.

I finally got around to listening to this and I have to say that I enjoy it, even though Reed's lyrics (and I like Reed) are strange, to say the least, on some of the songs.

I'm a huge Metallica fan and am one of the few that doesn't get pi**ed off at them when they try something different. I love the music on this disc but I can't stand Reeds sing/talk. I'll give it a few more listens as it might grow on me over time though.

On another note this cd made me pull out my Live S*** binge and purge set. Love that stuff.

I like Reed too. I love the music part.

Not for everyone as I stated earlier. Some will hate, some will like it. Polarizing indeed.

Funny, I went to Best Buy and it's wasn't in their new release area. I asked someone and they said, mmmm, Metallica and Lou Reed. That's sound like something special, for online only, check there first. I said, ummm, the music came out yesterday. She went to get someone and I said Lou Reed/Metallica. She said, it's under Lou Reed, not even under the Metallica section.

Well, finally listened to this tonight.

I've always been a Lou Reed fan. I like certain Metallica stuff. If you've followed Lou Reed through his career, you know that the band with him is just accompanying what he wants to say. So I feel bad for Metallica fans that were expecting a Metallica album.

I'll just say both parties could have done without this.
