Now I know why Jenna seemed bitter on twitter after last week's episode. Too bad Jenna and Ethan only lasted 2 episodes.

I thought the roadblock for the old couple was really weak. They should have had to go to another location.

What did they even have to do? I watched the episode but my wife was talking the entire time so I missed it. I'll still standby the fact that there were shenanigans going on in episode 1 because of the passports so they basically started everyone on even ground for the 2nd leg and eliminated 2 teams.

They basically just had to untangle a rope.

I also hated the sign clue on the final task. The sign wasn't even in TAR colors. I'm all for making it more difficult for the teams but I thought that clue was too tricky. If I was on the race, just like the majority of the teams, I wouldn't have read it.

That sign was BS. They built the game around reading the clues they hand you and doing the task exactly as written as fast as you can. They also built the game around doing all of the tasks before being given your next clue. They broke both of those tenets.

I agree. Something seems off about this season. It was a Cheezy "Gotcha!" move that wasn't necessary. Some stupid little sign like this that wasn't in the Amazing Race colors could easily make it very easy to fix the race. Most people wouldn't take the time to read things that weren't specifically associated with the task outlined in the clue and not marked with a red & yellow banner.

Once again, I'm not an Amazing Race fanatic, so I can't really judge it from the past seasons, but I feel that if its a clue, regardless of how long the clue can be, you should still read it completely and follow the rules.

If none of the teams read the sign and all had to go back, then it can be a cheezy move, but the snowboarders read the entire clue and followed it.

I was surprised how much time Amani & Marcus made up. I thought it was stupid of them to switch challenges when they only had to fill up the grass bag a little more. Then it was only to bring the 2 sheep and fill 6 pails of water. A lot simpler than planting 300 rice plants.

I wonder if they rig things like that bicycle pedal that fell off to give them some better television. Seems like for challenges they would make sure all equipment to be used was in good working order.

That temple challenge was a pretty good one though, if the teams hadn't worked together, there would have been a couple that would have been there a very long time.

That first episode was real fishy. Thats about it. The comment about the bike holds for every season. I have always wondered if they put out a piece of faulty equipment at various points to give the show a little flair. Makes for better television if there's a little drama or obstacle to overcome.

I went from rooting for the Snowboarders to win to now rooting for them to lose. I wanted to throw up once they started to talk about their religion.

I'm going to miss the Twins. They had a good time on the race and it was pretty touching when they said they wouldn't beg for money from poor people.

How in the hell did they keep running out of money? No other team seemed to even come close even after taking 2 more cab rides and one team even bought 2 extra first class bus tickets.

That was never explained. Perhaps the cab drivers ripped them off or they tipped too much.

Could be just the editing, of course, but the snowboarders' attitudes certainly looked poor compared to the brother and sister, who basically said, "I expect other people to respect our religion (Christianity) and our churches, therefore we should respect Thai religion (Buddhism) and their temples."

Perhaps they never had the opportunity (or never bothered) to cash in their Indonesian money from the previous leg. In last week's episode, it was implied that the twins were the only ones not to transfer their leftover funds into Thai money at the airport.
