Re: Fall TV Lineup - What will you be watching?
Yeah, Playboy Club is the runaway chop blocker of the season. Not looking good for that series at all.
If you like it, I advise you stay away to avoid attachment and disappointment."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I've watched all 3 episodes so far of Up All Night, and I just cant stand Maya Rudolph, can't watch it.
I really like Free Agents, but I get the feeling there won't be a second season for itComment

Re: Fall TV Lineup - What will you be watching?
By comparison, Up All Night (which I thought had a slightly better third episode than second) had a 2.1 rating. Also not very good, but much better than Free Agents.
Overall, Univision scored better than NBC on Wednesday night."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Not sure why untrugby deleted his post. I think he's right, though I expect FOX to give Fringe a proper good bye. They'll warn them first and give them enough time to end it right."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I gave up on Free Agents last night. It was okay, watchable, but not very captivating or especially funny.Comment

Re: Fall TV Lineup - What will you be watching?
I watched Suburgatory and liked it. I've decided I'm going to cut out Free Agents and Up All Night. I don't laugh out loud though I do like them. They just don't really do it for me on the comedic end.
Suburgatory was good. Better than those two in my opinion."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Fall TV Lineup - What will you be watching?
I'll definitely be watching Parks and Rec, Modern Family, The Walking Dead and Pawn Stars regularly. Everything else is up in the air.
I want to get back into Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Community, The League and possibly The Office but I'm not sure how regularly I'll follow those.
As for new shows I'll check out How to be a Gentleman and Happy Endings (which I know isn't really new but I watched for the first time the other night and I liked it).
Now that I look at it, that's a lot of shows to try to keep tabs on. But I know eventually I'll lose interest in a couple of them anyway so I guess it won't matter in the end.Patriots

The girl reminds me of a younger (is that possible?) Emma Stone and seems like a perfect fit for the character. A part of me feels she and the dad should have been from Brooklyn because it fits them better than the West Side of Manhattan but that's a personal statement.
Most importantly, I get it. There's a lot of stories that can be told and it reminds me of 90s sitcoms with their trauma and lessons but with a more realistic edge.
It kind of feels like Mean Girls the series. Actually, I think you could successfully argue that it is but without the whole "I'm going to Trojan horse the plastics and destroy their system."

This is on the verge of passing my "LOL Test". I want to give it a second episode to make sure. It isn't subtle like Modern Family or snappy like 30 Rock, but it had some good in your face moments.
