Warning, long article to follow.
All Time:
1. Battlestar Galactica(2004 series)- The Michael Jordan of TV shows for me.
2. Star Trek: The Next Generation- Its greatness paved the way for three more ST series'.
3. M.A.S.H.- My first T.V. love, losing a little luster with age, but still resonates.
4. X-Files- Awesome, but may be surpassed by its cousin Fringe.
5. Highlander: The Series- Immortals beheading each other with Katana's and Bastard Swords, how can you not love that?
Current:
1. Fringe-Superior acting, superior narrative, will probably make it to number 2 or 3 all time.
2. Leverage-The characters and the chemistry of the cast is what makes the show so great, chance to go to 3 or 4 all time.
3. Game of Thrones- In the same league as Battlestar Galactica, chance to make it to number 1 all time if it last long enough.
4. Bones- Just started watching on Netflix last month, watched 30 episodes in the last 3 weeks, I hope to get current by New Years. Another cast with great characters and chemistry.
5. Archer- As funny as anything that has ever been on T.V., the only pure comedy I watch.
Some Honorable mentions:
Terminator the Sarah Conner Chronicles- A couple more years and it would have made my top 5, stupid Fox
Firefly- Another Fox screw up, they've made more bonehead cancellations then any other network by far.
Luther- Qualitatively as good as any show on my list, but its hard to put it anywhere else with only 10 episodes produced and no knowledge if any more are forthcoming. Made by the BBC.
Rubicon- Warning, ADHD, not allowed. No show ever made better use of sighs, glances, and gestures to move along the narrative. AMC with a rare poor decision. Also, Rubicon axed after one season, Jersey Shore still going strong. It makes me weep for humanity.Jordan Mychal Lemos

I have too many but I think if I had to pick one it would probably be LOST. I love and have loved a LOT of tv shows, but I have never been as engrossed and so excited every week to watch a show.Comment
