One of his strongest roles IMO has to be the Believer. It's a pretty weak movie in general, but his performance was outstanding.

Re: Drive
Titanic/Notebook.
Inception/Drive. (Most recently)
But overall both have put out some great performances over the past 5-7 years.
Kind of similiar to how they both used to be viewed as these actors who are eye candy and thrive in romantic type films to being considered 2 of the best younger leading men in hollywood.Go Yankees
Go Rangers
Go Giants

Re: Drive
Spoiler
Just saw Drive yesterday and I got to say it lived up to my expectations.
Thought the movie was really well paced. The slower paced scenes brought a calm vibe to the film and I didn't mind how some scenes felt like watching a music video.
The action sequences were awesome and I liked how they made some of the conversation being spoken very quietly, so that when you turned up the volume, you were treated with very loud unexpected gun shots that made me jump up a little.
I kind of thought the Driver was a little too quiet and weird, but his personality fits the brutal actions he was able to commit.
Most eye-popping scene was watching Christina Hendricks' character get her head blown off by a shotgun. Bravo to the effects department.
And I had a feeling the Driver was gonna get attacked by the mob man after handing him the money, but I was surprised and chuckled a little after the Driver stabbed him back.
Although I didn't leave with a blown away feeling after watching Drive, I knew I walked away watching what I felt was a pretty good film. And I get how the feeling of this movie gets better overtime after reflecting on some of the memorable things in the movie.Comment

Re: Drive
Watched it last night. I liked it for it's production values, but I went into it with the wrong mindset. The reviews I read made it sound like it was an action packed thriller. The headshots and effects were amazing though and so was the soundtrack.Comment

Re: Drive
I made reference to this movie in the 'Recent Movies' thread, several days ago..
I thought it was fantastic. There were a few questionable parts, but the action and style of the film made up for it.
SpoilerWhen he stomps dude's head in, on the elevator, I couldn't help but exclaim.. "WHAT THE ****". I also agree that shotgun round to that chicks head was bad ***. I wanted to rewind it, but the girl I watched it with wouldn't do it.. haha.Comment

Re: Drive
There won't be a sequel, but Driver could appear in other films.
I'm not sure what this means, but I would love to see Gosling reprise his role in some way.
