I want to get a desktop

I think this is the same one they have in store and I think it has a 2.8 processor. For the price I was thinking I could buy this and then upgrade the graphics card. (Sry I have no clue about CPU's but from what I heard the graphics card isnt very good that this one comes with.)

I dont need a monitor because I am just using my 42 inch tv as one.

The biggest reason im looking for one is because of The Old Republic and Diablo 3. I really want a cpu that can run them both.

Any help would be appreciated.

Candy, what is your Budget? I ask because that's kind of low specs for a gaming computer.

I would say around 4-500 dollars. I mainly game on my consoles, only reason I want the desktop for The Old Republic and Diablo 3. so as long as I get a CPU that can at least run them then I'll be happy.

However I have no clue what's better and what's worse in the graphics card department.

I am going to try to find specs for both the old republic and diablo 3. If anyone else has them could ya post them.

Pretty sure that computer won't run Diablo 3 very well. If you were to upgrade the graphics card, you'd probably have to upgrade the power supply as well. Not 100% sure on that but I'd guess it comes shipped with a 350watt power supply. Personally I'd look at NewEgg.com or TigerDirect.com and build my own.

For only $400-$500 you will only be able to get the bare minimum graphics wise out of any current games. You can run them, but it will look like a ps2 game.

Lol yeah I know. I just want something that could at least run diablo 3 and the old republic.

To whoever mentioned newegg, I would but I have no clue about CPU's so I wouldn't know where to even begin.

I know that I need at least a 2.8 processor. I'm pretty sure that was minimal specs for Diablo 3. I could be wrong though.

Save up $500 more dollars and get a really nice desktop. You'll be really disappointed in a $400 to $500 PC and you'll wish you would have gone for a better model.

Talk to some people, its pretty easy to build a rig. I built one 2 years ago and it saved me a ton of money.

Candy..maybe you could have somewhere here with more knowledge build you a PC capable.. and it won't cost near as buying a brand name PC. I think I built one that will be DIII and TOR capable for around $500.

That was a sandy bridge i5 2400, AMD 6950, 8GB Ram, 1TB HD, Case, Motherboard

I know the basics and I do have a friend that could help me put one together. Its just i dont know the different lvls of the tech. Like whats the graphics card before the next. That type of stuff. All I want it to do is run them 2 games, lol.

did you happen to check out the Dell outlet? They sometimes have decent deals there for refurb systems or cancelled systems.

That's pretty good you must have caught some deals. The cpu and vga are $400 alone from the ones I saw.
