It wasn't my favorite of the series at all, but I liked Live Free or Die Hard.

Apparently more than most of you liked it.

I thought Olyphant was a great villain.

Live Free or Die Hard is one of my favorite action movies in the past five years. It just didn't retain the Die Hard feel like the other ones did, which is where I give it the ax on some levels. On the bright side, Justin Long was a suitable companion for McClane (old school bad-*** combined w/ modern day geekazoid).

Maybe they should try and get Reginald VelJohnson and Bonnie Bedelia to return for this one.

It was enjoyable, just not "Die Hard". And I hated Justin Long. That guy is a douchenozzle.

There is a unrated die hard 4 out there, right? i want to see how much better that is.

also, who do you think they should cast as the son? they should cast justin bieber and maybe he'll get killed in the movie.

It's better just by virtue of having F words.

Only out on DVD though. They're being stubborn with a Blu-Ray version.

Idk if it was a joke or not but on ESPN the fox producer said he wanted Tim Tebow to be the son.

                    Lol nope

I actually liked Die Hard 3(first two were better) but these new Die Hard's have literally nothing in common with the first three except that John McClane in the hero.

Here is the general plot of this movie: Bad guys cross John McClane, John is facing incredible odds, John gets in a real bad position, he pulls through and beats the bad guys, the end.

I wouldn't put it behind them to try and bring back some characters of the past, but I don't know what good they would do outside of being cameos. They wouldn't exactly serve their purposes like the F&F actors did in Fast Five.

I was going to thumbs up this post, then realized I already did a year ago.

Your post stood the test of time.

Oh yeah, and *eyeroll* again at the new "Die Hard."

I liked 3 better than 2, much better.

I thought the last Die Hard was ok, but just different.

We'll see where this one takes us.

I liked the last one too. It definitely wasn't as great as the originals, but I didn't think it was awful at all.
