Somebody bringing you Thanksgiving breakfast, lunch and dinner? With the new midnight opening, expect the typical Best Buy/Target lines to start up EARLY if you want one of those Sharps.

Really depends on the store location. I have seen some have below the minium and have seen others have 40 of them in stock for Black Friday.

I would say start lining up at 9pm. Seriously, people are ADDICTED to flat screens and they tend to buy 2 or 3 of them at a time.

Re: The too early Black Friday thread

I'd like to go to Best Buy, but probably not if they're opening at midnight (the rush will be much more intense, and won't weed out as many people as it normally would by opening up at 5:00 AM or so).

Does anyone know if price matching can only be done in store, and not somehow over the phone or something?

Honestly, you'd have to talk with a BB employee at your particular store. I would only assume that store that generate more business, would get a bigger allotment.

What time to line up, will obviously depend on how many they have. Last year Target had the 42" Westy for $300. We drove past after having Thanksgiving Day dinner....there was already 60-70 in line at 5pm. That was when the store opened up at 4 or 5am. They also didn't have a limit on them because we saw several people rolling out with 3 or 4 of them.

I would only imagine the lines starting earlier since it will be a midnight opening. I would drive by at 2 or 3pm to scout out the line, fully prepared to go ahead and get in line if need be.

Veterans at camping out find a partner (or 2) and do it in shifts to keep that spot. Assuming you don't need 2 spots.

The way Best Buy gives out tickets, those in the early slots get first dibs on all the door busters. At Walmart, you have to pick a line to get in as they have stuff spread out all over the store. Last year Walmart was a ABSOLUTE FIASCO. No rhyme or reason to the layout....employees didn't even know where stuff was.

I bet they only have 2 or 3 in the store too. Walmart never has a lot of beyond 55 inch tv in stock, even on Black Friday. But that is crazy.......

This is the year of cheap big screen tv I see.

If the store advertises a minimum, they have to have that minimum. If they have less, they have issues unless there is a correction because of an error or a shipping issue. It is against the law to if they have less.

Always ways around that. All they have to say is the truck is running late. When I worked at Walmart we used that excuse all the damn time. Since technically, a customer will have a hell of time trying to prove whether the truck came late or not.
