Re: The too early Black Friday thread
Really depends on the store location. I have seen some have below the minium and have seen others have 40 of them in stock for Black Friday.
I would say start lining up at 9pm. Seriously, people are ADDICTED to flat screens and they tend to buy 2 or 3 of them at a time.Comment

Re: The too early Black Friday thread
I'd like to go to Best Buy, but probably not if they're opening at midnight (the rush will be much more intense, and won't weed out as many people as it normally would by opening up at 5:00 AM or so).
Does anyone know if price matching can only be done in store, and not somehow over the phone or something?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The too early Black Friday thread
What time to line up, will obviously depend on how many they have. Last year Target had the 42" Westy for $300. We drove past after having Thanksgiving Day dinner....there was already 60-70 in line at 5pm. That was when the store opened up at 4 or 5am. They also didn't have a limit on them because we saw several people rolling out with 3 or 4 of them.
I would only imagine the lines starting earlier since it will be a midnight opening. I would drive by at 2 or 3pm to scout out the line, fully prepared to go ahead and get in line if need be.
Veterans at camping out find a partner (or 2) and do it in shifts to keep that spot. Assuming you don't need 2 spots.
The way Best Buy gives out tickets, those in the early slots get first dibs on all the door busters. At Walmart, you have to pick a line to get in as they have stuff spread out all over the store. Last year Walmart was a ABSOLUTE FIASCO. No rhyme or reason to the layout....employees didn't even know where stuff was.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 11-13-2011, 05:39 PM.Comment

Re: The too early Black Friday thread
If the store advertises a minimum, they have to have that minimum. If they have less, they have issues unless there is a correction because of an error or a shipping issue. It is against the law to if they have less.Comment

Re: The too early Black Friday thread
Always ways around that. All they have to say is the truck is running late. When I worked at Walmart we used that excuse all the damn time. Since technically, a customer will have a hell of time trying to prove whether the truck came late or not.Comment
