just to add, i really respected the honesty and blunt nature of the speeches it showed chris giving. it is very difficult to come clean with yourself about who you really are, but a far different thing to do it in front of a crowd of people. that dude stood up and laid everything on the table. i was esp astonished when he spoke about being in his warmups waiting outside the boston garden for his dealer to show up with a fix before a game. just so insane. here's to hoping he can maintain his sobriety and continue to be a productive member of society from here on out...

I don't get how people didn't notice "oh hey, here's a guy in Celtics warmups"

And I don't get how "nobody knew" he was an addict after the tenure with the Celtics and subsequent events. How do you not know, given his past?

i agree! i think the part where he was on the corner, sounded like he went out a back door/player's entrance or something so there was probably no real crowd around, and if he had on the pands and jacket, i could see people not really thinking much, assuming he was a fan waiting to go inside to watch or something? it did sound crazy though!

Saw this last night and thought it was incredible. To see and hear how low his addiction took him down was really eye opening.

I recommend all the people making harsh comments in the Lindsey Lohan thread watch this. It might give some a different perspective. It definitely had an impact on me.
          Good job! Good effort!

I recorded this last night and actually just got done watching it. It's amazing to hear what he went through and is actually still alive to talk about it. Awesome to see what he's doing with his life now by giving back. I'm really pulling for him to stay clean and keep things going. He has a lot to live for between himself, his wife (who is gorgeous, btw), his kids, and all of the people whose lives he could change just by meeting them or talking to them.

His wife might be one of the strongest women on earth. To be put through all that and still keep her family together. If put in the same position I would have left him a long time ago.
