If you like Heroes, Alphas is a new show that just got done with season 1 and I think its way better than heroes. Very creative with the powers and there's always action in each episode and everyone works together. No one is so over powering like they had in Heroes.
4400 is a good super hero type show but they got cancelled before they had closure on the show and you're gonna end up mad were they left off.
I've actually been real happy on much good tv there is to watch. I prefer it over movies because I really appreciate character development, the writing and the acting has been superb in many shows.
Few of my favorites:
The Wire - There is a reason why most who watched this show puts this in its favorites. Its the most authentic show I've seen.
Sons of Anarchy - On its 4th season and its on its best season yet. Just full of dynamic characters, suspense, action. The acting is awesome.Comment

It's mainly serious. This isn't Hal from Malcom in the Middle you will be watching. The show is great, but it starts off slow so just keep on pushing play.
Homeland is AMAZING. The best show currently airing this fall behind this season's Dexter. Showtime has back to back home runs going right now. Another one you should consider if you have the time(and have Showtime). The first episode was actually on Youtube and is posted in the Homeland thread.Comment
