    Blu-ray players

I searched around for a thread, and couldn't find any...

I'm looking for a top notch blu-ray player at the best value, main needs are Netflix and youtube.

I still say a PS3 is the best way to go as far as features and value are concerned.

      I'd agree, however, I have a 360, and it's $250.

I've read reviews on a few BR players, and OMG, some are nightmares.

My main thing is just Netflix.

I don't have Xbox Live gold, and don't really want to pay for it, hence, a blu ray player.

Well, you did say you were looking for a "top notch" BD player and that isn't a possibility for any less than $250.

There are a lot in the $120-150 range. Just do a amazon.com search

I just bought the 210 and it's a beast of a player. Bby should have it for $139 this week and I bet amazon is cheaper.

Good to hear, no complaints as far as wi-fi and connecting and such?

I was reading some customer reviews on BB and they were dreadful.

                      I have this one:

It's been great! I love the two HDMI outputs (one for lossless audio, the other for 3D), it's very quiet, and the Wi-Fi is great. I've been using Pandora a great deal with no hitches.

BTW...why do you need Netflix so bad on a blu-ray player? Kinda against the point of having a blu-ray player isn't it?

Yeah, it does seem kind of weird since you could just get XBL for a year or two and watch Netflix with that.

I'll be using it to stream. Netflix on the 360 is not that great, and I don't use Live either.

I still say the PS3 is the biggest bang for the buck. Free built in wireless streaming over PSN. You can use neflix, nhl center ice, mlb TV, nfl sunday ticket etc... (with your subscription to each of course) You get a good 3D blu-ray player and a 3D gaming system for $249
