I saw it yesterday. Overall I thought it was pretty good but it is up and down as far as pace is concerned. There are definitely points in the movie where it bogged down a little and I kept saying to myself lets go already. If you liked the first one the second should not be a disappointment, it is along the same lines as far as story telling is concerned.

Both me and the gf hated the first one, but really enjoyed the 2nd one. I thought the pace was alot better and the story was interesting. You'll have a good time

My wife and I saw it twice. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!

The dialogue is much better than the first, new terrain is introduced, new characters are well done (I LOVE Harris as Moriarty), and the door is wide open for a third movie. I think the back-and-forth between Holmes and Watson is much better this time, and the story line is very good. Having seen it a 2nd time, I caught things I didn't get the first time through.

I am an avid Sherlock Holmes fan...I have read all the stories, have many DVD's and am a collector of Holmes pastiches. This is not your grandpa's Sherlock Holmes, but I personally like how the character and storyline invites others into this character and genre that might not otherwise like it. So I can live with the more action-oriented story.

If you liked the first movie, trust me, you'll love the 2nd.
