I agree, her attitude is a bit overdone. I mean, you can be 100% distrustful but at least put on an outward appearance of being trustful. In fact it's probably more advanced in regards to fooling people to do it that way.

What I mean by that is The Governor probably could see her as a real problem with the way she is acting now and perhaps even have her taken out because of it. Whereas if she acted like "Golly gee, this is awesome, I love it here" while all the time being very suspicious and eyeing everything it'd probably be a smarter move.

And all in all, if you were in that position you'd have to figure if they wanted to kill you then they already had the chance so why not just stay for a night or two and get your strength up while pretending you're buying into the whole, peaceful town idea and whatnot.

I understand your guys position. And yes if I were in situation I would mask my thoughts much better but that is how she is portrayed in her original context of the books. She's mean and she takes no **** from anybody. But she is more complex. Andrea is the way we would react because we aren't scarred an jaded like Michinne appears to be. Hell we just discovered, by implying of the governor, that the two zombies she mutilated were close to her. She's cold man.

I'm curious as to how the Governor behaves towards them as things unravel. In this world bringing/adding women to the group is more benifitial then adding men. That may be why they have kept the girls and killed the pilot even though they could have lied to him and still kiled the soldier group. Instead they kiled all the males. I don't remember details from the towns folk but I wouldn't be surprised if there were more women then men in the gen pop and mostly men in the defense team.

I also want to stress that this is not me spoiling as a comic guy. As the show has jumped ship from the comic at this point. Just my thoughts going forward in the show. Women are a becon of hope for the colony or species even while men are competition and the destruction of it. It would be great if this became a bigger deal as the show progresses.

They did make it a point to mention that their population will be plus 1 because one of the woman was about to pop out. It could have been a filler line. Or it could be foreshadowing on what is expected of the women in the town.

I did only see men protecting the wall or being security.

I don't know if its because the show is fresher in my mind but this season is making me feel that the show will be better than the comics by the end of the season.

It's only been 1 episode but I really liked the casting for the Governor. I like the fact he doesn't look crazy and immediately can tell he is a leader. He made Merle look like a bitch and this is a guy that chopped off his own arm.

I agree with kingkilla, they are just collecting women. I'm thinking the Governor is a polygamist.

Funny how 1 of the guards just can't take his eyes off Michonne. He better watch out before he gets his heads cut off.

I was thinking the same thing about the Governor, which is why I stated he was holding the women against their will. He wants them there to procreate, and he wants the men to carry arms and the women to stay in their traditional role it seems.

Oh definitely.
The current theme line in the Show in regards to the town is a parallel to nature.
Alpha males will kill/send off rival males(the military) and attract/take in as many females as possible.
A sure fire way to help insure your pack will thrive.
