Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I don't get the journal.
It had a bunch of names written down.. and then Penny was last and a bunch of hash marks.
Does that mean the current girl that he was combing the hair of was not really his daughter but another young walker that he managed to control?
I really thought those names were the names of all the women he's had a sex with in the camp. And it seemed like Penny was the winner.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I have never seen so much confusion over an episode since Lost.
A few thoughts:
1. I agree with anyone that doesn't see the harm in the Governor's camp. I don't care what might happen. What's been shown to me is pretty okay, in my opinion. I found Andrea's reaction pretty over the top.
It had a huge problem because her reaction seems to come off as the show expects the audience to also be offended by a gladiator arena in an apocalyptic setting.
Uh, we aren't. It was entertainment, just like the Governor said. Andrea's reaction is simply another decision by the writers to make Andrea look dumb. It's terrible for her character and makes her insanely boring too because she's so one-dimensional.
2. Michonne is still horrible. I guess she swings a sword around but I'm supposed to be excited about her arrival in the show because of that? She's incredibly boring as a character and does nothing but complain and mope around. I hope she does something interesting soon because I'm real close to shutting my brain down whenever she shows up on screen.
3. Lori is dead.
4. Carol isn't dead.
5. Rick is how you do character development. So far the show has been incredible in developing the characters of the main camp. All of them have changed as people and it makes sense. Maybe this is why they got rid of Andrea. She sucks.
6. Definitely interested with the whole phone call Rick is about to have."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
There was a question I had when the last episode aired, then I forgot it, but it just came back to me.
When Michonne found the locker of walkers and broke the lock then sliced them up.. how did she end up in the Governor's house and her sword confiscated?
There was one person that saw her, and that person didn't have a weapon. Are we supposed to think that, that one person ran and got someone and they subdued Michonne (with her sword) and took her to the Governor?
I feel like they skipped a big thing there.Comment

Michonne doesn't accept the place or anyone there. So they found her being bad and she agreed to go to the principal's office?
LOL. Okay.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I figured they had guns? All the guy had to do was yell out and someone with a gun would just point it at her.
And I dont know whats up with the notebook either. I dont remember that from the comic. Maybe someone else does.Comment

I think the scene isn't shown because the guns would be out of character for the governor.
I laughed at her sitting in the room like a bad kid sent to the principal's office, but I understand some things just gotta be suspended from logic.
Because there is no logical explanation for anything that puts her in that position AND then goes ignored by her when trying to convince Andrea they need to leave the place.
Just think about it logically. Since we can't, the scene is ignored and fast forwarded.
It's whatever. I get the point was to move the plot forward and present a scenario in which the Governor and Michonne were together creating tension in a scene that ultimately leads to her leaving.
It's just a bit on the comical side.
