HD Picture Too Zoomed on HD TV. Assistance?

Good day, sirs. I am currently in the midst of a two week house-sitting period. These folks have a great TV (LG HD) but there is one small issue: the picture is zoomed in too far. For instance, while watching the NBA on TNT, I can only see 50% of the score overlay. This seems to also affect the overall picture sharpness. Do you guys have any suggestions? I've gone through the controller menu. The aspect ratio does not seem to affect this zoom. 4:3, 16:9, Zoom1 and Zoom2 all seem to leave the same portion of the screen cut off. Is this a dish option that needs to be adjusted? They have Dish Network. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

Yup, it sounds like the set top box has its HD Zoom enabled. My box offers a normal, wide, and full zoom; my television offers 4:3, 16:9, Screen Fit (perfect 1:1 mapping by pixel to resolution w/o cut-off), and Wide Fit. It has Zoom 1 and Zoom 2 options, but does not offer them with an HD broadcast.

Hopefully the family you're house-sitting for still has their Dish remote control and you can find the option, because that's where it will be. Also, make sure that the TV is set to 16:9 when you do this.

Thanks, man. That was a big help. Narrowing it down to the Dish allowed me to discover it was the "Format" button. I don't know if it's fixed for sure, but I'm pretty positive. Thanks again.
