    Need to replace wireless router

It looks like my router is finally getting to a point that its going to kick the bucket soon. I need to reboot it once and even twice a week at times. It is getting to the point now where I can't get some wireless devices like my PS3 to connect to it.

Any recommendations? I was looking at this one:

Apple AirPort Extreme best router I've ever had.

Expensive for only getting three ports off of it. But if it really has twice the range, then that is cool.

I'm in the market for a new one too. I have two routers in my house, one in the office (that is the old one and the one starting to die) and one in the middle of the house that is linked to the office one. I like to have lots of ports on my routers so that I can hardwire my consoles and DTV boxes.

How do the dual-band routers work? I have a wireless sub in one room that sometimes gets interference from the 2.4ghz signal as well as some wireless headphones. Will a dual-band router fix those issues and still work wirelessly with all my other devices?

Looks like a good one, anything Cisco puts their name on is usually solid product. I've got a E 3000 and am totally satisfied with it.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Thanks, I'll probably be getting it this week. I was having some more network issues yesterday, now twice in one week. LOL!

Bob, I ended up getting the Linksys E2500. I talked with a few other guys at BBY today and they said there are less issues with the Linksys over the Netgear, even though Netgear has improved quite a bit. The Linksys is $89, but I got a price match from Walmart for $79. My previous router was a Linksys too so I figured since I was used to their product and setup that I'd just stick with the same brand.
