Went through the list and thought it'd be cool to see which ones I actually went to see in the movies.

I've seen every film on that list(not in theaters) except for two.

......and I barely watch TV or rent films any longer.

Is that worldwide gross or just North America?

I've seen every movie except 6 on that list. I remember a few years ago (and i'll spoiler this in case anyone doesn't know about the details)

Avatar is only so high because pretty much 90% of the people that saw it paid double for the IMAX 3D. I usually pay $5 a movie, I think I paid $13 to see it.

                        Spoiler
didn't make the list, not even in the Top 200.

                        Another great war picture
                        Spoiler
comes in at #73. It made $23 million in 1946. An inflation adjustment puts it at over $436 million.

                        The numbers I don't understand.
                        Spoiler
grossed $30.5 million in 1953, yet the inflation adjustment comes out to a healthy $240 million, great numbers, but well outside of the Top 200.

So $23 million in 1946 is almost2X>$30.5 million in 1953?

Possible, since your dealing with stats just after WW2, but that's some serious inflation.
