Rogers Canada violates federal net neutrality rules

Rogers accused of throttling internet speeds by CRTC after Canadian Gamers Organization filed a complaint last october. They have until Feb. 3 to respond. http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/st...hrottling.html

For once I actually like what CRTC is doing. Personally I want to know why all the telecoms here basically have the same plans and prices. It seems like collusion to me.

Well if Rogers is stopping the throttling they'll make us pay for it. I just got my notification in the mail about a nice little increase for my cable starting March 1.

I got it as well, but we switched to Bell Fibe tv.

Yeah, Rogers is the king of taking people's money and making them pay dearly. In a way they can get away with it because IMO they have much better programming and internet packaging than Bell.

Kudos to the CRTC on this though. I can't believe i'm actually giving them props LOL.
