I never cared for this show but watched a decent number of episodes because there wasn't that much to watch back then. I've never seen a rerun past 1980.
Sorry to hear about Mr Hegyes passing though. It seems like his career went downhill after Kotter.Comment

The show used to air in reruns when I was around the 5th-6th grade so I watched a number of episodes. The show wasn't really all that funny though it did launch Travolta's career and I did like the Kotter character.

One of my favorites on the show. Man, that is too young. He always reminded me of Chico Marx when he spoke. Can't help but think he didn't emulate him a little:
