    The Bachelor

What? None of you manly men watch The Bachelor? I'm not afraid to admit it!

I searched for the thread to post in and was honestly surprised it wasn't in existence, even though I fully understand why most guys couldn't give two ****s about the show lol.

Anyway, in case I'm not the only one with a girly guilty pleasure, what's up with this Courtney chick?

First off, she's ****ing crazy (which seems to be a casting requirement these days), and second off she's a model? What's with those furball eyebrows? I can't get past those caterpillars every time I see her. Even after all the trash got talked about her, and Ben admitted he wants a girl that is liked by others, she still gets a rose? WTH?

My mother is into this show..

I've seen bits and pieces walking by and stopping by for the occasional chat. Is the Courtney chick the crazy one who likes to show her boobs, ever chance she gets ?

Yeah I'd say that's her. Dark haired girl, acts really weird. I think she was the only girl that wore the beaded bikini top last week without a standard top beneath it, despite the area being inundated with kids lol.

This is the only way I could stomach The Bachelor.... saves a lot of time too:

          Re: The Bachelor

lol The show overall is too cheesy for my taste. But these dating shows always draw me in for some reason. I even watched the VH1 stuff before they tried to reform. If there was a middle ground between the VH1 trash and the ABC oversappiness I'd go for that.

I don't have DVR anymore, but used to skip the dates and boring pseudo "romance" scenes and try to just watch the good stuff.

edit: and that masked guy was a joke lol, was a stupid gimmick in the first place, then he "revealed" himself and the chick was like ok... great... and he was gone right after that

Yeah I'll admit it, I watch it too. My wife watches soccer with me, I watch The bachelor with her.

Courtney is such a wacko but she will probably win. He keeps her around week after week even after the other girls warn him about her. He must not believe them. I think this show is completely scripted anyway, my wife wholeheartedly disagrees. I always joke with her by saying "The Bachelor will be right back after the girls rehearse their lines!"

              Re: The Bachelor

The Bachelor Franchise is the biggest show in Network TV in terms of having lots of male viewers who don't want to admit to watching this show.

I'm watching this season and really enjoying it. The show is heavily manipulated by the producers.

Reality Steve spoils every season before it airs and writes really snarky/funny recaps.

Courtney = Great TV. It's obvious she is playing up her "character" to get TV time and to further her modelling career. I hope to see her on Bachelor Pad this summer.

The Bachelor franchise has yet to produce a single marriage, lol. Once you throw in The Bachelorette, it bring up the total to 1 (Trista and Ryan).

lol Yeah I've thought that, too. Every season there is a girl that the other girls don't like, or is a "two face" and yet somehow every season that girl finishes among the finalists.

Plus why do they fill-in the bachelor with historical information about the vacation spots they visit so he can act like a tourist guide while with the women? Or when they try to make it look spontaneous when things happen on the date that were clearly planned, like this past episode with the crab/lobster fishing moment. That wasn't just some random fisherman out there lol

Some parts are kind of scripted. At the cocktail parties, whenever you see a 1 on 1 that is interrupted by another person, they go because the producer tells them it would be a good idea.

The Bachelor/Bachelorette has final say in who they pick to stay or go though.

What cracks me up is when the rejected women start crying despite only knowing The Bachelor for a couple of weeks.

My wife was the reason I started watching this season. All I can say is, "Don't knock it till you try it..."

It's TV GOLD on so many levels for guy viewers, and none of those are the "romance" or "love" levels, or whatever women in general may get out of the show.

Damn, Kacie B got sent home, she was my favorite. Oh well, could kinda see it coming since her dad didn't exactly give his approval.

Ben probably decided he was going to get rid of her once he found out her parents are really conservative.

Based on the Emily promo I think the producers want you to think it's either Brad or Bentley. She ends up meeting

I'm still hoping Courtney shows up on Bachelor Pad 3 this summer.

My girlfriend is a diehard fan of this "series". It's the one show I watch with/for her and honestly it's not terrible. It's trashy entertainment and lately the "OMG this is so awkward I want to turn away but I can't stop watching" moments have been pretty good.

I was not shocked to see Kaycie go home. Her youth surfaced in the last few episodes and Ben started to see that. Also, the family meeting went terrible. I hear that Courtney's vows were actually from the Sex and the City movie lol. With the final three I think Lindsay is going to win. Courtney has mental issues, Nikki appears to be psycho, and Lindsay is just laid back.

Best awkward moment: that super hot nurse trying to kiss Ben. isthisreallife.jpg

Emily is #1 in my book!

I'm not ashamed to watch it and I have the built in excuse of "My girlfriend makes me do it" lol
