Roger still has me worried about how depressed he really is. His home/marriage life is ****. Pete is making his work life ****. Dude said he's basically hanging on by his finger tips.

Harry continues to be a supreme knucklehead.
Oh, you're right. I got confused since I just caught up with Mad Men a day before the season 5 premiere. I thought Betty appeared in the season premiere when, in fact, her last appearance was in the season 4 finale.

That's why I was wondering how Betty got so fat in the span of one episode.

I still want Harry fired. And Megan's character is perfect for Don. They seem to compliment each other well.

I was playing LA Noire this weekend. I forgot how many faces are from Mad Men. It seems like all the side characters appear in the game.

And yes, its nice to know that everybody (including the characters on the show) can't stand Harry.

Man that last shot of the show with Fat Betty in the kitchen finish Sally's food alone sums up Betty's mind perfectly IMO. Oustanding way to end the ep and frame her mindset...

Why do so many people hate Harry?

I don't hate him, but probably because he's a character that's shown very little development over 4 seasons. He never learns and just continues to be awkward.

Pretty much. Apart from his intuitive for creating the TV department, he's kind of fallen to the wayside where all the other guys progressed above him and he's kind of alone.

                  Agreed.

His career has progressed significantly over the course of the show, but his social skills are just terrible, and fail to match his job status in the slightest.

I kind of like that about him. Not everyone is going to progress the same, and I like that even though he's older and is the top(only) guy in his department, he hasn't been able to completely leave the immaturity that all the guys(Pete, Kenny etc. those young guys) had in the first season behind. The fact that he hasn't really grown up yet seems like it is the point to me. It cracks me up that every scene he's in with the guys at his job level are awkward because of him. What would him being fired prove though?

For me, its the same feeling I had with Betty for 2 seasons. I think the way his character is is perfect and I think Matthew Weiner wants Crane's character to be this way. I want him fired by Don as I feel it is building up for later in the season.

Also, I love the direction Betty is going in.

Late to the show (only up to halfway through season 3) but enjoying it so far. Pacing and character development is top notched. The camera man for all of the Christina Hendricks scenes deserves a pay raise.

I will happily take that position free of compensation...

Great early start to the season...

Sally (as usual), Megan and (fat) Betty are rippin' it up...

Interesting that a lot of the most compelling material revolves around the female characters as of late...

She looked like a Bettysauraus when she got out of the tub.

Is that a body double or is she a double body?

Getting out of the tub is a body double.

January Jones was pregnant while shooting. She is also wearing face prosthetics.
