You're right, post 1985, not so much...but her twenties would hit around 1975-1985...and those were some provocative times, indeed!
This post makes me wonder, if as was said that Mad Men would run up to modern times if airing long enough, that the show would focus on Sally's "adventures" in the mid 70s as she got in her teenage years and how it would affect Don. Seems like something this show would do if it can draw personal conflict/growth out of it.

I think they said there was 7 seasons planned, and that the optimal end would be to show Don in modern times and his outlook on the world, I dont believe they intend on running through the decades. I would venture that the main story-lines end as 1970 hits, and then they have an epilogue showing where everyone ended up.

Obviously it was very important to the show's creators, because they really had to open up the checkbook to make it happen:

It seems like everything is getting super analyzed this week, but I haven't seen or heard anybody bring up Meghan's last shot which is her lying there on the (stage) floor lookin' like she's dead.

That was a breathing exercise that she alluded to when describing the failed audition to Don, and the reason she thought it went south...

The subtext (if there was any) of that however, was lost on me...

The whole episode to me illustrated that beyond appearances, pretty much everybody in that world is on the verge of a meltdown...

Except Joan, of course...who will outlive us all...while thriving...

Personally I'm not sure of the significance of the shot of Meghan in comparison with the rest of the episode. Kinda confused me. Either that or I over analyze this show too much.

Maybe a play on her feeling like she was dying before she could feel alive again acting? Dunno.

Her Thanksgiving Thanks was complete BS, though. It was awesome seeing her try to work her old magic and have it blow up in her face, which surprised me by just not only Meghan knows, but how much control she truly has in the relationship. The confrontation between Sally and Meghan was amazing - Sally definitely has some of her mama's spirit in her, haha. Rosenberg is turning into an amazing character and him and Roger together was one of the best scenes in the series.

I loved this episode. All of the performances were great and it felt light and comedic even though there was some big things going on.

Weiner, give Sally more screen-time. Kid's owning it!

Good part of the cast, but I rather see the adults play. Her screen time is just about right for me.

                              She is an adult.

Her ability to manipulate her elders is pretty remarkable...

But then again, with parents like hers...it's genetic...

                                VERY entertaining episode all around...
