The little ones are micro PCIe.

Quite a few aren't sold with brackets, like the one he's looking at, but most HDD mounting brackets nowadays have 2.5" mounts, or you can do like I did and mount it with velcro. My SSD is mounted under my 5.25" expansion bays so I could remove the HDD cage for better airflow.

True, plus a lot come with brackets to mount in 3.5 bays.

It looks like the 560 TI dropped in price unless my memory is horrible.

It should be dropping in price considering its replacement, the 660 TI is out and way better.

Actually, it looks like the one I have picked out dropped in price. The others seem to be about the same. Other than the 560TI I have in my build being 1GB, I'm not sure why it is significantly cheaper.

            $199 compared to $240-280
and $199 compared to $310 for the 660 TI.

            Oh well.

What ever model graphics card you do decide to buy, try to get the 2GB or 3GB version of it. The more video ram on graphics card the better off you will be.

That's only the case if you're planning on gaming at resolutions higher than 1080P. If there's a negligible price difference, get the higher if you think you'll eventually game multi-monitor or higher res, but often there's a performance drop on higher VRAM if you're playing 1080P or under.

TBH, for a 560TI non 448 cores, I think it's too expensive. Granted, I have the 6970 Twin Frozr III and I love it, great quality parts. But if I were buying a 560TI, I'd make sure it's the 448 core version (Basically a 570) for that kind of money.

Is there a motherboard that isn't too expensive that is compatible with older processors like Pentium and Celeron, as well as the i3, i5, etc? I'm trying to build a solid computer in the $300-$400 range for day trading that I can update later on if I decide to use it for gaming as well.

The celeron and pentium CPUs are Sandy Bridge and will run on any of the Sandy Bridge compatible chipsets and those chipsets, except for a couple I don't think they make anymore, support Ivy Bridge so you are OK all the way up to I7. Cheapest of those are likely going to be the H61 that run down around $50, but I would pay the couple of extra bucks for B75 or H77.

Alright, I'm not even close to trying to build a PC, yet, but I really don't know where else to ask this on this site.

I'm buying a laptop for school. This one more than likely unless I can find something better for under $500 or so.

I want to upgrade the RAM and to a faster HDD, but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for (mostly referring to the HDD). Just looking for a little help on what to buy exactly.

Going to start building my new Pc, I build one every 4 years or so. and it's almost about that time.

I'm building a tower with the 6 core i7 extreme processor and 32 GBs of ram. I haven't decided if I'm going to pick nvidia or amd yet but I'm definitely getting an ssd for bootup
