      I've never used Gigabyte but right now I have 2x SLI EVGA GTX 680s.

      I will always buy EVGA for my video cards. Have never had any issues with them, and they've been through more than enough to have earned my money.

        I'm a big fan of EVGA, but I have been reading that both the ASUS and Gigabyte 770's are also very good.

          Looks amazing, ive made my final decision AMD 7990 it is, it's two 7970's with 4K ability on one card. Can you imagine how good BF4 is gonna look!

            There are other options out there.

            Better was too loaded of a word. Just make sure you check out everything. The last thing I'd want to see is someone build an enthusiast rig and be disappointed with their purchase.

              The Asus monitor (4K) you were talking about some time ago will be 4000$ at launch lol http://www.theverge.com/2013/6/4/439...-compatibility

                Screw that! Guess I won't be getting one of those anytime soon then. I'll just get a 4K card (7990), a 2560x1440 monitor, and upgrade to a 4k monitor in a couple years when the price goes way down.

                  Man, the way you were talking about getting 4k this and 4k that, I figured you knew what the prices were going to be and money was no object.

                      Anybody know where I can download a free Windows Vista 64 recovery disk? I'm tryna fix this BSOD, won't even boot to safe mode.

                        Did you end up ordering the 770?

                        The 770 came in on Thursday, put that into the system and that card is much better than I expected. Took back my PSU I had bought from TigerDirect and exchanged it for the Corsair HX750.

                          yup, I ordered the Evga Superclocked on Friday from Amazon, (had some gift cards so it ended up being less than the 670 I had), it is supposed to show up tomorrow.

                          also has anyone been paying attention to the stuff coming out of Computex 2013?

                          video has what looks to be a cool and simple liquid cooling bracket for GPUs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUgzNUCYgGs

                          lots of cool stuff in this video including that lamp! oh and mental covers !

                            I'm terrible at fixing my own stuff do I need some help.

                            My friend was playing the original Bioshock tonight. Whenever that was bright flashing the screen thick flashed horizontal black bars real fast. I turned on vertical sync and it did the same thing.

                            VGA = Gigabyte 7870
                            CPU = i5 3570k
                            Monitor = LG E2742

                            Only game it does this on. Bioshock Infinite ram fine and so do some other older games.

                            Any ideas?

                            Also, has anyone gotten a MadKatz controller to work on Windows 7? It recognizes it, but even after Dow loading drivers for it the PC won't see it as a gamepad.

                              Just saw the X1 conference and am thinking if the consoles are gonna cost $500, I might as well just go the extra mile and buy a gaming pc I can use for a few years. The problem is, I don't really know where to start. I don't want to literally build it, I would rather just go through a supplier and customize it if possible, I know I'll be losing a little money but I don't trust myself with something like this. Saw this on slickdeals, just wondering if it was a good deal or not, or if anything on it is something that I should look to upgrade.

                              Your search for great deals and coupon savings ends here. Find the best bargains and money-saving offers, discounts, promo codes, freebies and price comparisons from the trusted Slickdeals community.

                              Essentially my question is what do I need to have in my computer to make sure it lasts me as long as possible and play all the games I'm gonna wanna play, now including The Witcher 3 and Battlefield 4. Any help would be really appreciated.

                              Side note: I already know I'm going to need more than 1 TB of storage. I just filled my 500GB drive in my PS3 with movies/tv shows and I have stuff that's not even including the rest of my movies and music.

                              Edit 2: Think I've changed my mind. Kind of want to build it myself. I just need to figure out what I want/need in it, and try to calculate how much it'll cost me. Any help on different company pros/cons or sites that explain it would be awesome, hopefully I can find some. I'm not trying to spend too much over a grand (student budget) so hopefully I can put something good together.

                              Edit 3: Found a subreddit (there's always a relevant subreddit) for what I wanted. Found this build for someone with similar needs to me. How does it stack up for the price and would it be able to do what I need it to do (essentially just play games on max settings while remaining as quiet as it can). I never realized how important the quiet is until I had to deal with the obnoxious roar of my Xbox at 2 in the morning.

                                that build is decent... but average FPS on that card for BF3 on 1920x1080 ultra is around 50 fps... which is ok.... I guess if you have any more cash a better video card and power supply is where I would put it.
