    iWeb

Has anyone used this program for web page design? Is it any good and easy enough for someone that has some web experience but is nowhere near an expert? The reason I ask is 3 weeks ago the church I attend caught fire and the sanctuary had significant damage. This place had been standing since 1894 so you could imaging how easily this wood went up. We are in repairs and as part of the renovations to bring the Church into the 21st century I have been tabbed to design a web site for the church to help with it's outreach. I know 1&1 has a fairly easy set of templates, but my Mac come with iWeb and looks to have more options. Is this a good program to use to get started or does anyone have some better ideas that could help me out. Thank you for any help and advice.

I never used Iweb. But as a general rule of thumb, since I had to make a website for a church many years ago that was new to the area. You will want to have some pictures of the church. Pictures of the outside, inside for potential visitors can get an idea of how it looks. Might want to include pictures of the head clergy people too, with a little bio about them and the over all history of the church, what programs they offer along with the days and times.

Okay thanks. It's going to be a while before we get back in the church but I will remember to do that. Is also setting up a designated area on the front page for a pastors blog a good idea?

I hope that this discussion isn't against the rules, as I'm not wanting to talk religion or politics but just asking for advice on the best way to go about designing a web site for a church. If it is I apologize and have no problem with it being locked.
