I finished the series this past afternoon and it was pretty good. I started it on Thursday morning on Netflix and wrapped it up this morning. It wasn't very long, 26 episodes; for the most part they were pretty self contained except for the overarching narrative of Professor Xavier speaking to Wolverine from the future trying to change the terrible future created by the sentinels.
Now, comparing this to the original series back on Fox, it definitely isn't as convoluted and because there were only 26 episodes in the season it wrapped up the narrative pretty well. It was sort of sad not seeing the big cast of X-Men the original series brought to us, but this new one did a good job of giving them all personalities.
I'm hoping they continue the series and do a season 2, but it looks like that's not happening. Season 2 was finally going to bring Apocalypse into the mix. I do hope it continues because there's so much they could build on, Magento and Xavier should have gotten a bit more role times etc. The season ended in 2010 I think which probably means it's not getting another season
