Re: Franklin & Bash: Season 2

Liked the premiere episode. I saw the first couple episodes last year and stopped watching for some reason. I'm not that interested that I'm gonna go back this week to catch up, will do that in the future though.

So I have a quick question, in the first couple episodes last year the girl in the Law office used to be on the guys side, but in this last episode she was plotting with the other guy to get them fired after they mess up. Any big reason for this?

Good, start glad to see they moved Peter on from his ex this season or so I hope. Good start to the season. Does anyone know how many episodes this season will run?

              Anyone watching?

I'm pretty bored with it. Seems like nothing "happens" on the show. No consequences, nothing.

Everything just seems to get wrapped up nice and neat. Ehhh.

It has to get better. I'm losing interest.

I still watch. It's a fun summer show. Wouldn't work at all in the fall, but it's just fine for the summer.

Yeah definitely. I just find it weird how a drama is basically on in the background for me. Usually have to pay attention to every detail for one, ya know?

I'm still watching it too, but I agree. It has been pretty bland.

I disagree, and if you're looking at this as a drama, I think that's where your problem lies. This is far more comedy than drama, more a dramedy, and it does that VERY well IMO.

I love this show, and find this season to be better than the last.

Although I'm pretty "meh" about it, I do watch on occasion...

However, that last episode might have been the "kill shot" for me...

It just laid there for an hour without moving...

Also didn't help that White Collar was my "lead in"...which is a tough act to follow...

As far as the genre goes:

I see this as more of a USA Network type of show like "Psyche"...

More about the quirky and the comedy than the plot...but still...

That last one was particularly "underbaked", IMHO...

Nah, I know it's light-hearted and mostly fun, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have to go somewhere too, ya know?

Whoa whoa whoa let's not put it on par with Psych. Not even close.

This show has taken kind of a hit though. The last few episodes have been pretty boring IMO.

Meh, I just disagree that it's gotten boring. And that's not saying everyone has to like it either; we all have our tastes and opinions. I personally just think that it's being exactly what it wants to be; a light, funny take on the courtroom drama. It doesn't need a "strong" story IMO, as that's not what it's about. It's simply about two young, good looking lawyers bagging chics and using unique tactics in the courtroom as they push their careers forward. There are some light side stories that fit in, but ultimately this show is about its title, Fraklin and Bash.

I can sit down, watch this, and laugh while vicariously living out bachelorhood (lol), and not have to worry about missing something, or wondering what's happening. Definitely one of my favorite shows on tv. Hell, my wife loves it too, despite being more of a "dude" show.
