Who all reads the comics? There's a thread for the show and game, why not for the comics?

I started reading the comics back towards the middle of March. I was reading them on my iPhone and got to issue 88. I plan on going back and re-reading them at one point (I kind of sped through them, it was so good, but I read them too fast) now that I have a good e-reader. I am going to start back up soon and since issue 100 is around the corner, I figured we could have a thread just for those who read the comics.

We would probably have to use a lot of spoiler tags, but you could start the post with the issue you are wanting to discuss and then use the spoiler tags.

I started back in March, when I bought the new iPad. I'm caught up. Just downloaded #98, #99. It is interesting to see the differences in the TV show and the comic. Both are great in their own right. The new iPad is Perfect for comic reading.

I'm up to Issue 97. Read the first compendium and then each individual issue. I love it.

I'm caught up to issue 99. I can't wait to see what happens in issue 100. I think it's going to be BIG!

I don't think the Neegan group is ambushing Rick and them, I think they are going to attack the group and Andrea is a goner. Maybe even Michonne. I think Rick and them change their mind and turn back around and come up on their home being attacked. *

I too am upset Abrham is gone. I enjoyed his character.*

I stopped at the part where Hershel finds his two young daughters in the barber room at the prison. Man, that guy cannot catch a break. Also, Tyreese just walked into a pile of zombies and Rick shot Shane's zombie.

Things certainly happen a lot more dynamically and at a faster pace than the show. I kind of wish the show had included more characters.

I finished the first compendium (issues 1-48) a few weeks ago. Only took me less than a week to read it. I was so into it I gave myself migraines from reading so long. The second compendium doesn't come out until later this year which stinks, but I don't want to buy TPB's. I live down the street from a Barnes & Noble and I've been tempted to just sit in there and pick up where I left of. Haha.

I've read the first 7 compendiums, I love them, just wish i had the $ to get more right now. I like reading the comics cause they are different from the TV show.

Yeah, once the comics get rolling you just don't want to put them down. The one I'm reading **** has definitely hit the fan and then some.

Yeah reading those books is like crack, I bought 3 compendiums one day and sat down and read them all. For me with the ADD and reading issues that is quite an accomplishment. I'm starting to feel the TV show will end up letting me down, I know there's no damned way they can put in all the awesomeness that's in the books on TV.

I will say the more I read the comics the slower the show seems and as slow as it moved on its own the comics pace themselves pretty damn quickly.

Do you mean the volumes? There are 16 of those. I think there is only one compendium out right now with compendium 2 coming out late this year.

Correct. There is only one compendium out right now that contains the first 48 issues of the comic.

I read Fall of this year for the second one. Can't wait.
