Premiered last night.

I just checked it out cause of the draft last night. Thought it was really funny. I'm a really big Charlie fan though. As an FX fan, I will say it's strange to see a TV-14 show on FX.

Anybody else watch?

I think it was good. Not as funny as what Two and Half Men w/Sheen was, but still funny.

Apparently the critics are bashing it big time.
Wonder how the ratings were last night?
I thought it was so so, not great, not terrible.
Frankly i was thinking it would be alot funnier than it was.

Yeah, but who really cares what the "critics" think? They are people just like the rest of us, so really everyone's a "critic".

You may hate Chuck Lorre, but that guy can write circles around your current "Anger Management" team...

You can't compare a network tv shows ratings to a cable tv shows ratings.
Last nights show was the highest rated cable tv comedy show ever!
They are already ordering 90 more episodes.

You didn't pay enough attention to the spin, it was the most watched scripted comedy premiere in prime time cable history, not counting kid's shows. That's a lot of spin by FX. For a little comparison, Dallas' premiere nearly doubled the Anger Management's premiere. I can't imagine FX's expectations weren't higher.

I haven't seen that this premiere met the contractual obligations for the 90 episode order, and I can't imagine those requirements weren't based on an average or the late season shows.

This is excellent for a basic cable show. Highest rated series premiere for a comedy on basic cable ever.

I didn't like it much. I think Charlie is a good actor, but the writing was blah, and none of the other characters were very interesting to me. With a show on cable, shame they didn't go for something a edgy and different instead of old-school network style comedy with a laugh track. Just my opinion of course.

That's actually pretty healthy for Cable.

Haven't seen it but will give it a look-see when I can.

I thought it was pretty much replacement level, with a LAR (that's laughs above replacement) of about 0.2.

Not terrible, just forgettable.
