How often do you think this happens? New game with no disc.

My buddy bought Halo 3 today from Walmart. When he got home and opened it there was no disc inside LOL. I have a feeling when he tries to return it they are gonna be like, "yea right, people try this with us all the time."

I'd be so incredibly angry if they didn't give me a disc. I'd chuck the box across the store.

Same here, i'd be VERY angry and knowing how this may be something that people try all the time....I have a feeling he's not gonna get a replacement or his money back.

        Lol, that sucks.

We all know how excited you get when you get a new game and bring it home. You tear off the plastic, open it up, and....no game. I would be furious lol. Hopefully he gets his money back or a replacement.

It's Walmart........if the game wasn't locked in the case and just sitting out in the open, then yeah you have a 60% chance of somebody stealing the disc out of it. They do the same thing to movie dvds and blu rays.

Walmart is a theft paradise. So much stuff get stolen out of Walmart on a daily basis I'm surprised they aren't bankrupt by now.

Walmart should give you a replacement. At most they will want an ID and your receipt. If they say no at first, then don't leave until you get it. Also the quicker you go back, the better chance of getting it fixed.

Yeah, even if you don't have your reciept, as long as you have your ID they will exchange the game or lack there of the exact same game.

^^ That sounds right. Also, wouldn't they have more discs than cases if they checked it? I mean, if they put the disc in the case when you buy it, they should have an extra disc vs what is listed in stock. At least that's what I think.

Unless someone stole the disc, which apparently is an easy thing to do at Wal-Mart according to a previous poster?

So they keep discs inside the cases, so it's not like at Gamestop. If so, that's a shame. I hope all goes well and the OP's buddy gets a new disc.

Yeah it isn't like GameStop.......games be in the cases at every store except GameStop. Go to Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Meijers, etc, the games be in the cases. Most stores now keep the high priced ones locked up behind a glass door. The $20 greatest hits and platinum hits how ever be sitting out in the open on the shelves.

Some of you guys are speaking as if the games are packaged at Walmart. I always assumed these retailers received the games already sealed with the disc inside.

I guess that's true. I know Walmart's target audience are not the most...ummm...(you name it) people in the world (what does it say about me...?), but stealing like that.....

It was proabaly a packaging error. Reason I say that is a few years ago (don't rmember the game) I bought a game at Gamestop and it had 2 disks inside.

I bought a game from Walmart years ago, some low budget paintball game. Got home, didnt really look at the disc before I put it in and then I watched Windows Media Player pop up with the worst mixtape music ever.
