    BlueTooth/DLNA/PS3 Questions: Droid

Has anyone successfully connected their Droid phone to their PS3, using one or all of the following applications/technology:
    • Bluetooth
    • DLNA
    • Registering their mobile phone device to their PS3 as a registered device
I ask because I was fooling around with it all day yesterday and could not get my mobile phone (Motorola Defy - Droid) to sync/hook up as a registered device. I was simply wanting to test out the sharing of video, pictures, and music from my phone to my PS3 to see how this would work and if it would be useful, however the PS3 would not register my phone no matter how many times I tried, came close, and failed.

Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to do this? Every video on youtube that I came across was unhelpful. Some Google searches made me think that this was not possible, or rather it was rare to have it work right.

For those that have had this work, why do you sync your devices? What can you make your PS3 do through your laptop or phone as a registered device on your PS3?

Based on my lack of search results in Google and here, I'm going to assume this is useless or undeveloped technology.

download an app called iMediaShare Lite. thats what i use to connect to my xbox and ps3. you have to be on wifi of course and itll show up under media servers. you can share pics, videos, and music(what i do the most) plus it also has channels such as youtube dailymotion break.com cnbc etc etc. i rarely use those channels cuz its a lil more clunky and more steps are involved.

all u do on xbox/ps3 is go to whatever tab(xbox)/column(ps3) ur trying to do(music, pic, video tab) and then you should see the iMediaShare name pop up just like if you had ur pc sharing media. then u click on it and all ur media of that category should pop up. Play it and your on your way. but dont trip if you have times that it times-out or disconnects for no known reason. just reconnect and keep it moving. you may have a few less disconnects than i do cuz i am using a 3.5 yr old droid still

oh yea, just as a FYI, you cant share any media via bluetooth on ps3. its not supported. thats how i ended up finding these type of apps. i knew there had to be a way.
