PC Troubleshooting question
About a week and a half ago, I was playing my PC, when it shut itself off. It's done this once before, and after a few hours I could turn it back on and everything was fine. This time, however, it wouldn't turn itself back on. I opened it up, cleaned everything up, and nothing. Basically, the lights on top next to the power button will turn on for about a second, and then everything shuts off. A friend told me it was probably the power supply, so I ordered it, and received it today. I installed it, plugged everything in, went to power on, and it did exactly the same thing. So now I'm at a loss. The pc is barely a year old, so needless to say, this is extremely frustrating.Tags: None -

OR
The mother board itself has short circuited. -
Re: PC Troubleshooting question
I can smell a little but of burning as well. I'm afraid it's the motherboard, as I really don't have the money to replace that right now (even after I send the power supply I broke back).Comment

Re: PC Troubleshooting question
I would check to see if your motherboard or PC as a whole is still under warranty since it is still relatively still new.Comment
