I definitely think it is deserving, but I don't know how it compares to Downtown Abby or Homeland. I prefer SOA to Game Of Thrones, but that's just me.

Not saying the show isn't funny (im not one of those haters or whatever) but there IS better stuff or more to look at.
I agree. I really like Modern Famly, but the noms should probably just be 2 guys, Burrell and Stonestreet personally.

How that show gets 4 noms and the guy playing the best damn comedy character on TV still hasn't gotten a nom for the role is a crime (Nick Offerman in case you live under a rock).

I really like SOA, but I don't see the Emmy's nominating the show at this point.

The nominating process obviously doesn't limit the number of nominees per show, and Modern Family has no central star. Because of this all it's noms will come from the Supporting Actress/Actor side (an incredible 15 supporting nominations in three years). Add to that the fact the show has won the last two years for Best Comedy and your now dealing with a juggernaunt.

PS-all four actors (Ferguson, O'Neill, Stonestreet, & Burrell) were also nominated last year and Ferguson, Stonestreet, & Burrell have been nominated 3 years in a row.

PS#2-I'm an P&R/Offerman (all well as Modern Family) fan too, but if he was in the mix I'd still want Ed O'Neill to get the win.

I flipped between this and the game a little bit last night. I saw Julie Bowen win. Modern Family's "on set" video. And John Cryer winning for Best Male Lead in a comedy. That's when I stopped watching.

                  Emmy's you are a joke.

Amy Poehler not winning for her work this last season on Parks & Rec was the biggest crime to me.

I thought she gave the best performance in a comedy of anybody on television last year, male or female.

My favorite show on TV, Homeland, had a great night, and that was the only reason I was watching.

Didn't watch but I'm glad Homeland and Modern Family dominated.

Too bad Larry David didn't win best actor in a comedy. And the Palestinian Chicken episode of Curb was one of the funniest episodes of show in TV history so I'm pissed that that didn't win its' category.

The fact that Parks and Rec didn't win anything was disappointing, last season was one of the better full comedy seasons for me since early Office.

                            She's great, can't argue, but I didn't watch Veep with Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

It's amazing to me that most P&K fans on this board talk up Swanson and Tom (deservedly so) but don't give great props to the heart and soul of the show.

Ron is my favorite on the show, but with the acting and writing combined Poehler is whats makes it what it is.
