Yeah, I'm in denial about the iGoogle thing, I've never really used 'reader' and it's been my homepage since... well... I think i had an Excite homepage setup before that.

Unlike many I really like the direction MS is going in, and I may make this switch one day, little reason to dive in right now though.

Thanks, I signed up. No clue if I'll end up using it.

        Interesting....

I'll stick with hotmail unless there's some mandatory switch that has to be made.

if you have a live.com account, it will automatically sync that account.

I just signed in with my Live account that I use for Xbox and other MS products... when I go to rename email it only gives me two domains, live and hotmail. That kind of sucks.

Go to outlook.com after signing in to your live account & see what happens? That's how I noticed outlook was synced

You need to create a new account IIRC. I remember reading something that said Hotmail/Live accounts will keep their original domain.

I'm sure some sort of migration tool will come out eventually to help Hotmail users...though maybe not since this is MS we're talking about here.

Got multiple signed up. First time I've ever had first.last without superfluous numbers added on.

                  Thanks for the heads up.

I don't like the UI at all, looks like I'll stick with good old Hotmail for now. It looks like an interface for children, it doesn't look sleek in anyway.

Well you better get used to that unless you're a Mac/Linux user because that's exactly what Windows 8 and pretty much everything else MS releases for the next several years is going to look like.

I figured people would like the drag-n-drop and right-click interface in the web access. I don't think any other POP3/IMAP consumer service has that.

I've been using gmail for a long time, but I registered my name, just to have it. Thanks for the heads up.

Go to the options menu and there should be a 'upgrade to the new Outlook.com' option.

Register for Outlook as well, like others, got my full name without the ".". Interface looks pretty good.
