    'The Lights' on NBCSN

I checked this out this morning. It's certainly no-frills - they don't even show an anchor on camera. I liked it. It's a nice catch-up that fits into getting ready for work.

Anyone else see this yet? Thoughts?

Love it. It's what a show like Sportscenter should be.

It's what SportsCenter used to be, only shorter.

I feel like it's going to be perfect if they don't limit themselves to the 20-minute loop. For example, when NFL season kicks off, there could be 13 NFL games and 15 MLB games on Sunday. They could go to 40 minutes on days like that. Be flexible and don't skimp just to fit it in to 20 minutes.

Let me get this straight: There's no on air anchor, they just show highlights and no news stories? Sounds a lot like The Score here in Canada when they do their highlights. That network has changed a bit but they still have that "no anchor on Tv just the highlights" package.

If that's the case that sounds like a very good early morning "here's what happened last night" kind of deal.

Loved it. Stopped watching ESPN for anything other than live games a long time ago. For those that are wondering, here's what the show looks like:

Yup. Love The Score's late-night/early-morning programming. All highlights, no nonsense.

Not to take this off-topic (off-Canada?), but what the hell has happened there the past few years? Almost all of their talent has jumped ship to other networks and it seems like they're operating on the bare minimum as opposed to around 2006 or 2007 when they seemed to be going all-in against TSN and Sportsnet.

A lot of ownership changes, lack of direction, the ownership bleeding money and the fact that TSN and SN are now heads and shoulders above everybody are the main factors to The Score's demise.

The Score now basically uses the TV presence to promote the internet identity and their apps which I hear does remarkably well.

Their app is the best sports score/stats app I've come across. It certainly blows ESPN's out of the water.
