    Director Tony Scott commits suicide

Well, this just ruined my day.

Los Angeles Times blogs that were published between 2006 and 2013.

R.I.P. I own four of his films, and would have liked to actually see one in theaters one of these days. Guess I won't be able to anymore. This sucks.

He has the same birthday as me, as well. 68 years old.

    Total bummer.

My favorite of his was definitely True Romance but I'm a big Tarantino mark so that's probably why. He also directed a few guilty pleasure type action movies that were good like Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II and the highly underrated The Last Boyscout.

He directed a few movies I like.

I'm glad he didn't harm anyone else.

IMDB tells me he was an executive producer on one of my absolute favorite movies, The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, so this does bum me out a bit.

Sad news indeed. He directed a few movies that I really like. It looked like his plate was really full as far as being a producer from looking at IMDB.

RIP, he has worked on a lot of good films. Shocking as to why he would commit suicide at 68 yrs old.

Most times at that age is because they have been diagnosed with an incurable disease.

Yeah he was diagnosed with brain cancer shortly before committing suicide.

I was actually seeing conflicting reports about this. I guess it's still up in the air..... or what they are willing to divulge is.

Didn't he leave a suicide note?
