Re: Copper (BBC America)
I was going to make a thread about it after the first episode played.
Great show, I love films or shows from that period. Kinda reminds me of Gangs of New York. I normally wouldn't have watched it because up until a few weeks ago BBC America wasn't in HD on DirecTV. But since it switched to HD I decided to get a season pass and watch it, I really liked the first episode a lot.
Looks to have a pretty good budget with all the era costumes everyone is wearing about in the background. Definitely doesn't look cheesy, which I was worried it might.
I'll be watching the entire first season for sure. If any others are on the fence and you liked the film Gangs of New York, I'd say give it a shot. It's well worth it.
I guess it'll mainly revolve him (main character) & his two fellow detectives? The other guy that is similar in size to the main character kinda look shady. -
The wife and I really enjoyed the 1st episode also. I personally loved Gangs of New York so I'm definitely interested

Re: Copper (BBC America)
I can definitely say I'm hooked. I really like the main character & his two colleagues.
The sets are top notch, very believable.
Did you happen to watch the 30 behind the scenes special? It was pretty awesome as well, they explained what they are trying to convey very well.Comment

Re: Copper (BBC America)
I actually wasn't as enthralled with episode 2 as with 1. Some of the scenes seemed too short and it was jumping around a bit. The other thing that bugged me was....
SpoilerWhen his shifty partner went to get the doctor, why pick the lock? Why not call out his name and let him know his friend was hurt badly and needed him quickly. Didn't seem like a time for shiftiness.Comment
