    Re: Copper (BBC America)

I was going to make a thread about it after the first episode played.

Great show, I love films or shows from that period. Kinda reminds me of Gangs of New York. I normally wouldn't have watched it because up until a few weeks ago BBC America wasn't in HD on DirecTV. But since it switched to HD I decided to get a season pass and watch it, I really liked the first episode a lot.

Looks to have a pretty good budget with all the era costumes everyone is wearing about in the background. Definitely doesn't look cheesy, which I was worried it might.

I'll be watching the entire first season for sure. If any others are on the fence and you liked the film Gangs of New York, I'd say give it a shot. It's well worth it.

I guess it'll mainly revolve him (main character) & his two fellow detectives? The other guy that is similar in size to the main character kinda look shady.

Gripping opening scene and can't help but compare and contrast the methods they used back then and how that would be received now!!

Wasn't even on my radar then saw some of the ads and decided I would record it. Watched them both and I think it will definitely keep my interest.

                Absolutely.

I can definitely say I'm hooked. I really like the main character & his two colleagues.

The sets are top notch, very believable.

Did you happen to watch the 30 behind the scenes special? It was pretty awesome as well, they explained what they are trying to convey very well.

I actually wasn't as enthralled with episode 2 as with 1. Some of the scenes seemed too short and it was jumping around a bit. The other thing that bugged me was....

Really officially cooled on this now. Couldn't make it through the 3rd episode. I think Breaking Bad and Mad Men have spoiled me!

I'm sticking with it and seeing it thru to the end. But I admit it is going to be hard with Boardwalk Empire starting up tonight.
