Connecting HD-DVR Cable Box to HDTV Wireless?

Hey guys, my wife & I just bought a new house, and want to re-arrange the way we have our living room set up. We want to put our tv up above the fireplace, but don't want the cable boxes (Time Warner DVR) over there with it. What do you all recommend to transmit the HD signal wirelessly?

I've seen the Standard Def Transmitters, but we want to keep the HD signal.

    Thoughts?

did a quick amazon search for "wireless hdmi" and this came up from Vizio (3rd Party Amazon sellers as cheap as $122 shipped ; AMZ charging $171 shipped)

    http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-XWH200-U...=operasport-20

other suggestions show different companies are offering the same thing from $140-250. might want to check monoprice.com as well

yeah. thats a tough one if you dont have it pre-wired.
The wireless stuff isnt worth it. The signal goes in and out. You cant really notice a loss in the clarity though.

Where are you putting the cable box?? To the right of the fireplace?? Im assuming you have an outlet over the fireplace already, correct??
I would just knock out some drywall, run the hdmi wires through the studs, and over by the cable box.

They have hdmi cover plates so you can make it look really good with those.
You could patch that up with a sheet of drywall.

if your hdmi cable are long enough and you do plan on putting the cable to say the right or left of the fireplace in a cabinet (make sure there is a plug there as well), you could do this for about $40.

Im just going by the home depot prices. Two of the hdmi wall output/inputs there are $12 each i think. (each one comes with 2 input/output.
sheet of drywall is about $10.(atually you wouldnt even need the drywall if you make good cuts and keep the cutouts intact.) Then get some compound and tape. And a sanding block.

You will also need a hole saw for your drill to drill hole in each stud to get the wires through.

$99 on sale at Best Buy with a 1 year warranty. I'd seriously consider this as an option

That's just the receiver though unfortunately. Need the transmitter with it. $199.99 right now for both as a kit. I've got it in my cart, but I don't think it works with my Motorola cable box, and I'd have to call and get an upgrade for Time Warner, not sure how difficult they'd be.
