Just from the trailer I saw today, Hollywood is gonna bastardize this. Which is a shame

Well they had to make him look more like Branch Rickey.

I agree about the music choice....C'mon man, this is set in the '40s not present day. At least try and find something a little more timeless than throwaway music about selling dope.

This looks like it should be pretty good though.

I don't really care about Jackie Robinson. Plus HBO already did it.

Should have just skipped over it, really.

Well I clicked on the thread because I was totally blanking on who #42 was. Then I figured I'm already here so I might as well comment.

I agree relevant to the movie the song choice may not be good, but for a trailer it was awesome as it hyped me up.

I think the song was selected mainly to pull in the non-baseball audience. I really hope they don't kill the authenticity of the film by using music like that in the film. The stadium/unis/ lighting looks well done, and not too Hollywood. Looks good.

Buster Only tweeted something that I didn't catch in the trailer. They have Jackie doing a bat-flip, ala Dante Bichette and admiring his home run. Just doesn't feel right.

Biopics usually fall short for me. I'd rather see a documentary on the subject.

But I'll keep an eye on the reviews.

Saw this trailer while taking in "Trouble with the Curve" and loved it.
Can't wait for 42 to drop!

Nothing screams Jackie Robinson like "Brooklyn Go Hard" by Jay-Z.
