    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Nickelodeon)

Anyone watching the new reboot of the show? Pretty good so far... they've done a good job keeping the vibe from the 80s-90s cartoon. I actually think the new art style is pretty cool too.

I can almost guarantee this will be better than Michael Bay's bastardization. The fact that these are, in fact, mutant turtles from ooze, and not aliens () already makes this much better.

I see they went with the young April O'Neil vs. having her be the local news reporter.

I didn't even know it was rebooted. I see it comes on in 90 minutes over here, so I'll be sure to check out an episode.

        Do it!

VERY funny so far too. And the cast is great... Sean Astin, Jason Biggs, Rob Paulson (from the original cartoon series), and several other notable voice actors.

Great stuff so far, which is impressive considering how much I loved the original as a kid.

I seen the previews for it and I thought it looked terrible. The actual way they look. That's going to probably stop me from getting into it.

Yeah, I was hoping we were going to see a cartoon, not computer animation. Splinter just looks weird. The art is still better than pure animation if that makes sense.

Otherwise, so far I'm still watching through one commercial break. EDIT: Now two.

I saw previews for it and it looks geared towards kids totally but it also looks hip to the youth culture. I'll check it out in one way or another.

I sat and watched the first episode, last night. I actually enjoyed it.

I'm going to try to actually follow the series. I know it's animated and it's geared towards kids, but it's still fun to watch.

Just a heads up in case this wasn't already posted somewhere else, I believe that on November 13, they will be releasing the entire classic Ninja Turtles catalog on DVD. The carrying case is the Ninja Turtles old school toy van.

Actually, I found a link on IGN. 193 episodes! Amazon has a pre-order for $70.

Can't like that post enough because that just made my day.

I wouldn't care if the DVD episodes were in black and white but the fact that they're using the Turtle Van as a case for them makes this an automatic MUST buy.

Well I just saw the first episode, I gotta say this was a lot better than I expected. I really like the characterizations and Mikey is pretty damn funny. One thing that really caught my attention was the stylistic touches which reminded me a lot of some older Japanese cartoons and I think that's a nice little flourish.

Even though it's geared for kids I will probably follow this show.

Caught 30 minutes of episode 3. At first I was taken back by the animation but the more I watched the more I liked it. Some of the jokes are top notch. Not sure how I feel about a young April though.

What sucks is I paused the show 40 minutes in and came back and it was unpaused so I missed the final 20. Already have my DVR set for the next replay but it's not till Wednesday.

Saw most of the first episode. I liked it.

At first didn't like the art direction but then quickly picked up on how each turtle looked different and I started to like it with each passing minute.

Not sure if I'll watch religiously unless Netflix picks up the season sometime in the future.
