I think Splinter looks weird, but yeah, there is definitely some nice differentiation between the turtles, even down the the eye color (Rafael has green eyes, for example).

Speaking of Rafael, the most hilarious moment in the episode was when he yanked off the robot's arm, closed the double doors shut, and put its arm between the door handles so it couldn't come out. Then he calmly turns around to the other turtles and says, "That oughta slow them down."

Is Nick still showing reruns of the 1st episode because all I saw were ones for the 3rd episode...

I think the episode I watched was the very first and it was on Nick Toons. I missed the first 10 minutes of the episode, but it was when they first met April.

I didn't know so many episodes were out all ready. I don't have DVR right now so I can't catch them. If someone spots them coming up on the guide, please let me know... I would like to watch things in order.

Actually, I found a link on IGN. 193 episodes! Amazon has a pre-order for $70.

Now I'm pissed! lol. I bought the entire series off of Amazon earlier in the year, and now this is released!? Damn!

Haha, prob a miss-print, so you should be good!

Already renewed for season 2, and it was the highest rated premier since 2009

My guess is that because the premiere was 45 minutes long, it was a combination of the first two episodes. I was trying to set up the DVR and realized that no episode was listed for this weekend, but there is an episode set to air the weekend of the 13th.

I believe the first two episodes are in the guide under the name "Rise of the Turtles" and the third episode is under the name "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

It's just very weird how it is set up in the guide.

I'm surprised to be hearing good things about the new version. I'm a huge TMNT fan, but I haven't been anxious to check out the new series. I guess it's because I hold the original in such high regard. I will, however, check out a repeat of the debut episode and see how it is. Maybe I'll be surprised.

How would you compare this to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated show? I've been watching the first season of that on DVD and it's pretty good. I know it may be a tough comparison but what I like about SWCW is that while obviously geared towards kids, it has elements of storytelling (and even some jokes) that appeal to an older audience.

So, looking through my cable guide, the newest episode will be on at 11:00 AM (those on the east coast must have just missed it, if you didn't already watch it). The show is regularly a half hour long, so the hour long premiere must have been considered the "first two episodes," making this weekend's one S1/E03, and so on.

I'm going to create a series recording.

Watched E03. Just a heads up, it seemed to start a minute early, but I was already on the channel. Make sure that you start your recordings a minute or so early, just in case.

This show is quality, IMO. I don't really think it's half-assed, and I just hope the writing can be consistent. I don't know how much I like how the first two episodes have "ended" with a human mutating into something else, not because of the concept, but because of the corny portrayal of them... but that might be the case for every episode, so I might as well get used to it.

I was initially concerned in case a half hour would feel too short to tell a story compared to the seemingly serviceable length of the hour long premiere, but it seemed just fine to me.
