Same here. Pirates, Hancock, Office Space, I'd never seen before so I bought them on Blu Ray. Watched em all once. My kids watch them though. Same will go for Green Lantern. Princess Bride is the wifes. Chirstmas Story was a collectible I wanted. I don't think I've even opened it. The kids just watch the DVD version when we put up the tree each year.

When I ran out of shelf space, I knew I had a problem. LOL I keep telling myself that BRs are a lot cheaper than video games.
I was well over 500 before the damage done this November. Probably close to 600 now. I keep saying I'm going to cut back....
I never really collected DVDs. Got hooked during the HD DVD vs. BR war. Still have 2 working HD DVD players and 110 reds.
My wife is all about savings and coupons when it comes to grocery shopping, and I am all about savings with Blu-rays. I NEVER pay full price for them. I research and look for the good deals and always take advantage of the U&S program.Comment

The way I look at is that there will always be something to choose from when you're in the mood for a movie night. To each their own though.Comment

That's very true. We use Amazon instant, and Netflix for those needs. Although with our schedules movie night doesn't happen very often in our house. We're always too tired anyway.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Very nice dude! There is something fun about collecting Blu-ray movies. How many total do you have? I may have to start going the bin route soon. Haha. I'm running out of shelf space. Either that or buy another display shelving unit. I've got 369 Blu-ray movie/TV shows and 273 DVD movie/TV shows.I'm still 100 behind you, and am running out of shelf space. Probably getting four Blu-rays for Christmas as well:
- The Dark Knight Rises
- Ted
- The Amazing Spider-Man
- 2012 San Francisco Giants: The Official World Series Film
Don't know what I'm going to do when I'm out haha.

My goodness! And I thought I was doing better than the average bear with my 42 BRs. LOL.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Fool me twice can't put the blame on you. Fool me three times, **** the peace sign, load the chopper let it rain on you.

The bulk of my collection is used from Blockbuster and gohastings. Not counting box sets or tv shows--average price per movie is about $6-7. B/c of the scratch resistance, I almost always buy used saving a ton. I NEVER pay full price.
Anyways....got a new basic (read: cheap) phone today. Samsung Intensity III.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 11-24-2012, 06:57 PM.Comment
