I need to get 2K13 for PS3 and maybe a 360 for cheap if I can find one, but it's not a priority. Gotta get 2k13 though.

No, you're not. Having come from about six years of retail and retail management straight out of college, unless people have been there, it's hard to understand how little family/Holiday time these people are given, and now they're expected to be there ON the actual day of Thanksgiving. It's embarrassing. There is no reason the public can't wait until Friday to get their deals. And that's not to say I'm blaming this on consumers. The retail chains are constantly trying to one up each other as well.

As big box stores continue to be dominated by online pricing, I have no doubt that we'll soon see them open all day Thursday as well.

At least Wal Mart isn't shallow enough to open at 8am.

Great post. The owners of those box stores never account for the morale of their employees. The 4 a.m. openings were bad enough, now we've got multiple stores open on Thanksgiving as we'll? Man, it's a joke. Those schedule demands (don't even think of asking for a day off) are a big reason why people don't last long in the retail world.

I wish there was something we as consumers could do to change this, but like DDW said, it's probably only going to get worse as Amazon and other online sites gain more of the market share.

I agree with this post, my step dad was a manager at EB Games and too often did our Holiday plans revolve around what he had to do for his store. Too often did he have to keep the store open late on Xmas Eve, be there early the day after Xmas, etc.
