So glad the show is back. Man, Tywin really really did Tyrion dirty. That was a great scene.

Wow, now Dany has another knight at her disposal. If having Ser Mormont wasn't enough, now she gets Ser Barristan, who's scene in season one still stands as one of my favorites in the series.

Three growing Dragons and two Epic Knights. Go Team Dany, go!!!!!!!!

Also loved the scene with Tywin and Tyrion. Charles Dance and Peter Dinklage always seem to deliver.

I can't wait for next week. This series is filled with goodness.

I hate how fast a GoT episode always feels.

Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) looks absolutely gorgeous. And it's interesting to see her play around Joffrey and Cersei.

Out of all the characters shown in the first episode, I have no idea where Robb's is headed. He ain't attacking King's Landing any time soon, would Casterly Rock be it? I must say though, Robb is starting to look like Robert the Bruce from Braveheart.

Edit: Sharing because of the total burn. Don't think Tyrion's been owned by anyone up to now.

That episode, and this is appropriate I guess, really felt like the first chapter of a book.

Like, not a ton is happening, but we're setting the table.

I liked it fine, it was just a bit jarring for everything to be so, well, quiet after the insanity of the end of last season.

Season 4 will be boring since each season is parallel to each book. So enjoy season 3, because it goes downhill. I've never seen a series of books go from pure gold to something I could barely get through because it was so boring...Martin lost his touch because the first three books are fantastic, and the last two are very average.

Season 4 will be the second half of Storm of Swords, so it will be FAR from boring. I imagine that HBO will just integrate Feast and Dance for two seasons, since they cover the same time period (save for the end of Dance).

I just hope George gets his *** behind his computer again, as HBO has given him three more years max for Winds, but if he doesn't have A Dream of Spring on tap right after, the show will catch up.

I actually tried to read the first book. It was one of the most boring pieces of drivel I've tried to read. I ended up putting it aside.

                  I love the show, though.

So how the books are doesn't really seem to dictate how the show is, so much.

I've read the series and the first three books twice and enjoyed them immensely. The show, not as much.

I couldn't get into season 1 until I had finished the first book. Felt lost not know some of the history that is explained I the books.

I finished the 2nd boom right before the 2nd season and was overly critical of it. This year I'm just going to enjoy the world of westeros for what it is. Made the premier much more enjoyable than last year.

Just started reading A Clash of Kings a few days ago and from what I've read so far, book-to-TV changes were for the better. The prologue alone is vastly different from the season 2 premiere but it translates for a more cohesive watching experience.

Hopefully, I don't finish the book too soon because I hate the urge of reading the next book before it's corresponding season starts. Season 3-4 is gonna be a tough one!

Wow, very good, eventful episode tonight. As a reader of the series, the Jaime/Brienne stuff is some of my favorite and tonight did not disappoint. Brienne is a bad-a**. This is gonna get epic.

I think I'm going to like Lady Olenna.

I really can't wait to see how Bran and Arya's story lines unfold. Especially Bran's since he's all been foreshadowing since season 1. How do you spell what he is -- wok? Wolk? Walk? Jaime/Brienne...

So many good things happening, still not enough for a week's wait!
