I always imagined the Dornish people to be darker skinned as well but almost every fan rendering I've seen and now this casting tells me I was wrong. They were my last hope for the Seven Kingdoms.

Funny thing is the person they cast to play Talisa, IMO would've been a perfect Arianne Martell.Moderator

Re: Game of Thrones Season 3 (aka A Storm of Swords)
So I am really late, but I bought the first two seasons on blu ray this past weekend and watched the third season online just finished it.
Violence, Sex, Superb Characters, Stellar Acting, Plot Twists that make your jaw drop.
Season 3 Episode 9 Spoiler
SpoilerSo so so stunning when the wedding party turned into a massacre. I felt sick when everyone got slayed. Especially Rob Stark and his wife and future king. I was half asleep watching the episode and when that happened I was wide awake. One thing I love is that no one on the show is safe. I am not a big TV show guy, but this is my favorite show of all time already.
I am a full blown addict. The wait for season four is going to be brutal.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 07-16-2013, 01:09 PM.Comment

Re: Game of Thrones Season 3 (aka A Storm of Swords)
I started reading the books Memorial Day weekend, just finished ASOS last night.
Season 4/ASOS Major Spoilers
Spoiler
Good grief. The latter half of the book is absolutely ridiculous lol. I wish they didn't include the Red Wedding in S3 to make S4 even more bloody and wild. In a mere 400 pages of text we lost:
Robb Stark
Catelyn Stark
Joffrey
Tywin Lannister (almost more shocking than the Red Wedding to me)
Balon Greyjoy
Lysa Arryn (the way the book had gone this death was easy to see coming, though it was still badass)
Jeor Mormont
Gregor Clegane
Sandor Clegane (I guess neither Clegane brother is officially dead)
Oberyn Martell
Ygritte
Shae
And countless other lesser characters. Half the Night's Watch. I'm probably forgetting a major character or two.
I'm a slow reader but I knocked off ASOS in six days which is about the crowning achievement of my reading career lol. The book is so good.
I can't even list the moments I'm anticipating most for S4. Every episode could be epic in it's own right with so many major deaths and plot twists. I hope they do the war at The Wall justice in the show.
I am worried that this will be the pinnacle of ASOIAF, when you kill off so many great characters that you spent 2,500 pages developing it's going to be hard to maintain the same level of greatness. It seems like everyone claims ASOS is the best book in the series but hopefully AFFC/ADWD are still extraordinary books.

Yeah, you hit them books hard man. I read them quick, but not that quick. AFFC seemed like hitting a brick wall though, if I were you id capitalize on the momentum you got and start it asap.Comment

I'd say ADWD has a few moments that rivals what happened in the third book. Especially the end.
