    help with hdtv settings

    just bought a samsung 40 inch led 1080p. any one got good calibration settings, or a site where i can get some? thanks!

      Is it the UN series? 6000 or 7000 model?

              Just because you have the same set as someone elsedoesn't mean you will get the same results so be careful. Other things such as lighting will have an effect.

              A Professional calibration is always the best route if the cashflow permits it. You won't regret it

                      No doubt....I just had good luck with other people's settings, and rather not pay for a pro right now

                              Don't they have calibration dvd discs you can buy?

                                  They do, but unless you have tools to measure the light produced, it is just a baseline. It is better than nothing.

                                  Usually if you get some settings off AVS, you may need to tweak a few things based off your viewing environment and preferences, but other than that, they will be very good.
